Do i have the wrong battery? 82 gs550

I needed a cheap battery real quick so i picked up an autocraft 5l-bs battery from advance for like $40. It has 55cca and a capacity of 4 Ah. Bike ran good for a couple days but now it barely runs, and im seeing serious voltage drop when i try and start the motor

    Any suggestions?

If you want to get away with that small of a battery you need to have excellent charging and probably a kick start.

charge the battery and run the "Quick Test"

I took a resistance reading of 8 ohms on all 3 of the stator windings, until i can actually get the motor running again i cant really test the output of the stator, and whats the best way to check the r/r.

And whats the recommended battery capacity for this bike, i cant seem to fimd it in my clymer manual

The stock battery was a 10ah with likely 150+ cca. Get the right battery
