    850glx Weak power

Tried to start for the first time this spring, everything looked normal, lights came on, before I hit the start button I heard a click on the RH side and everything went out dead. Found battery was done, dry and dropped to 3-4 vdc with key on. All fuses good, etc. Got a new Duracell AGM, slapped it in, turned key on, all lights on but dim, battery down to 10vdc with key on, unable to roll starter. I'll put the battery on the charger for a few hours tonight to make sure I'm starting out on the right foot. I'll dig out the Haynes next.
Any other ideas? any help appreciated!

Putting a battery on the charger before using is always a good idea.

Darn, with so many daily riders it's hard to decide which one to jump on next.

You can also connect jumper cables to your car or garden tractor battery, but be sure the donor vehicle is NOT running, especially if it's a car or truck.
