Which dyna 2000 igniton is right for me?
Hi, I have a 83 gs750e 16v . I want to get a Dyna ignition but they don't seem to make one for my year model. Does anyone know which one I need and what I'll have to do to install it? Thanks for anyones adviceTags: None -
Sadly, none. Your bike came with the ignition advancer built into the ignitor. The dyna2000 needs the mechanical advancer found on older models. You might be able to adapt a mechanical advancer to your bike, but you might run out of room.1981 gs650L

I don't know which one you need either, but the Dyna 2000 does NOT require a mechanical advances, your advance curves are selected by a switch on the main box. The Dyna S on the Other hand does require the mechanical advancerComment

This is correct. Measure the OD of the trigger mount plate you currently have and ask Dynatech if they make a Dyna 2000 with this size mount plate.
If they don't it is possible to remount the Dyna triggers on a different size backplate. I've done it for other engines.Comment
