    Tach bulb 78 gs550

Can anyone tell what bulb I need or link me a part # for the bulb in the tach on a 78 gs 550? I finally have my bike ready. But it failed the safety. A few little things. One being that the bulb in the tach is burnt out.

I don't have a number handy, but I'm sure you can find it at your local Princess Auto.

From the description in the parts fiche, it's a 4 watt bulb with a small bayonet base.

A-72 bulbs are what youre looking for. they are the closest I could find to the originals found in these clusters. I wasn't able to find them locally here in LA but they are easily found online for pretty cheap

Socket designation is BA9S (apparently also known as A72).

I've put some LED BA9S off from ebay into mine - if you are planning to do the same, you need to check the "beam pattern". See also this post of mine where I did the installation Clicky.
