    1981 gs1000gl 4" coil replacement

My 81 gs1000gl needs new coils. The bike has electronic ignition. I ordered a set of Emgo coils but they have 90mm spacing. I need the larger 102mm/4" or so.

Where can I find a set of 4" coils other than Dynas. At 160 or so plus wires and caps shipped I was hoping to get a cheaper set.

Are there other bikes which use same spacing for the coils?

    Thanks

    Rich

Why do you need new ignition coils? The stock oem units are very reliable...did you test yours?

The wires are ruined. Someone has used RTV to attempt to seal them.

Always bunches of used ones on ebay...but there are different style connectors on primary side. Early 80's were mostly 4 ohm primary on the 4 cylinder bikes.
How about these? There are others, ask about plug lead condition

IDK. I asked the seller about the bolt spacing.
