Okay, so I went to Basscliff's website and opened the wiring diagram. I then looked over the diagram in the area of the head lamp and found that the Black/Red wire feeds into the speedo distance sensor. This is an input for the TSCU.

From my limted knowlege, the Orange and green wires go to your lighting controls, i.e. your front and rear brake light switches, parking brake light switch.

          Parking brake light switch?

Had no idea the '79 850 had a parking brake, let alone a light switch for it.
