Burned fuse between the R&R and battery

    Hey,
My bike has not been charging well, slow cranking at startup. I found my 20amp fuse was burned/fried between the regulator/rectifier and the battery. Does that indicate that the R&R is bad? It is a Compufire 3 phase R&R.

In the absence of any Quick test results, it indicates dirty contacts. You have to chemically treat this stuff. Spray it with some deoxit.
Realize it could be cheap contacts embedded in the fuse holder itself.

yes as above It sure looks like poor connection at the fuse . Your charging system is trying to run the whole bike AND charge the battery through too much "resistance" (ie too narrow or too dirty a connection) so it gets hot. It's the same principle as an electric stove, but unintended here. It probably explains your poor charging also.
