How do I test the redulator/rectifier?

I'd like to see if it's causing any problems, but I don't know how to test it properly.

Do the Quick Test on the below page. It won't identify the R/R specifically but it will tell you whether your charging system is working properly......

I can only do 1 and 2 right now. I'm trying to find if there is a drain somewhere, or maybe a bad ground.

There is a test to check the diodes in the rectifier portion, but the only way to test the regulator portion is to have the bike running.

Bccap gave you a link to the test, let us know when you are able to continue, and post what you find.
