Koso Gauge Oil Light Not Working

Hey all, I put a new Koso brand tach/speedo gauge on my '79 GS1000 and have got everything to work (even the tach!) but I can't get the oil light to work. The bulb is good and the pressure switch on the bike has continuity so I'm not sure where I'm going wrong here. I have the green/yellow wire from the wiring harness connected to the Grey wire of the gauge.

Anyone who has hooked up a Koso gauge help me out please. I've read through the few threads that specifically deal with Koso gauges and no one seems to have an issue with the oil light.

Have you checked the continuity of the green-yellow wire between where you connected?
I have instaled few Koso meter and never had any problem.

Hi, I have never installed a Koso gauge but have installed motogadget gauges. The pressure switch simply completes a circuit to ground, if you ground the oil pressure input of you Koso gauge wire the light should turn on. When your engine is running the oil pressure overcomes the spring in the switch and opens the circuit to turn off the oil pressure light. On my bike the spring was too weak to ground the circuit and the light never came on. Replacing the 37 year old pressure switch solved the problem. I would make sure you can make the gauge light turn on. I also had to replace the input sensor for my oil temp. to get proper calibration. I hope this helps
