What confused her was that I was behind a car and she didn't see the entire front of the bike, only the left side. Even though the amber light wasn't flashing, it was enough to trigger her reflexes into starting a manoeuvre.

No, her autopilot between her ears was faulty and recognised the left-side amber light as a left-signalling light, and made to pull out. There was no real danger as I wasn't going fast, and would have pulled up in time if she had done it.
