When I hit the start button nothing happens,bridge the solonid and it turns over but still not starting.Took clutch switch off touched wires still nothing,lifted up stand and still nothing from button could it be the solonid,sprayed the on/off and button with contact cleaner.Bike was ok and just stopped turning over with button pressed.

I?d guess the kill switch is to blame..... cuts off power to both starter solenoid and ignition module so even if you jump starter solenoid bike won?t start.1981 gs650L
