Any one know which coil fires which cylinders? I have no wire markers.

On a four cylinder one coil fires 1-4 and the other 2-3.
If all you get is popping and banging when trying to start you have most likely got the LT wires or plug leads incorrect and the plugs are firing at the bottom of the stroke not the top.Mikuni Viton Choke Plunger Seat Renewal.

The coil with the white primary wire goes to cylinders 1 & 4 and the one with the black wire goes to 2 & 3.Comment

The answer can be found by looking at the wiring diagram in the factory service manual or on Basscliff's website. You didn't mention what bike and year so there is that.Ed

All correct answers/comments so far, I will only add that it is TYPICAL that the left coil fires 1 and 4, the right coil fires 2 and 3. I say typical, because you never know what a previous owner might have done.Comment
