have seen postings about how to change it, and most say is easier to change with the cover in place on the bike. Drive screws into old one, or jam pick into it to pull it out. Then device some driver (socket or something) to drive new one in place. This assuming that the bearing is okay and not need to replace that also.
But I already have cover off (replace clutch plates and springs)…….
hum…. On inside of cover, that little screw down in that hole. If I take that out, does the shaft lift out ? And then make replacing the seal easier ??

oh, man !
now I see this seal I have had for a couple years is for the shifter rod…..
and I see the clutch lever seal is Not Available.
and I see other discussions saying they used some general purpose seal.
I suppose from industrial supply place (McMaster? Grainier? Fastenall?)
anybody know the specifications? OD x ID x width, internal seal.
