The frame loop mounts for the mufflers on my 79 GS750 have been cut off by a previous owner. I'm returning it to stock but replacing these mounts in the exact right position to mount the mufflers correctly is proving difficult.
One thing that will help is if someone who has an original exhaust system fitted could tell me the inside distance between the two mufflers at a given point e.g. between the recesses for the rear axle at the recess midway point (or at the end of the mufflers before the end cones start).
Any help would be much appreciated, including some close up photos if possible.
