Brake line compatibility?

I’m looking to refresh and get some stainless brake lines on my 82’ GS650E. Just recently got it running well enough to ride and noticed even grabbing a fistful of brake it’s pretty pitiful. Anyway, I was curious is any other gs’ like the katana etc. has direct compatible lines, because from what I’ve seen the gs650g is not compatible due to dual front disc and single rear disc. I’m not completely against making my own, but ti be honest I’d rather just get it done quick before my rear tire comes in. Thanks

Not sure what you mean by direct compatible lines. Do you mean that some places sell a complete kit including all the lines for some models, but you can't find one for your '82 650G? You're not likely to find a kit specific to another model that just happens to fit yours.
There are companies that will make up the lines for you, I've bought lines made to my specified length from Venhill - https://www.venhillusa.com/. Many colors to choose from, swivel fittings, various angled banjos, in various finishes, copper gaskets, its. If you have original Master cylinder and calipers, be sure to get the 10mm x 1.00 pitch banjos. NOT the more common 10 x 1.25.

Pre-Covid, it was @ $50 for one line, and swivel fittings, banjos and washers for one line. Customer Service was terrific, and took about a week for me to get it. Now - who knows?

You may want to look at cleaning/rebuilding your MCs and Calipers while you're at it.

Or, with a bit of skill and a supplier for all the hoses and fittings, make your own.

Yeah, but I have a 82 gs650e. I’ve found premade kits for the g but the e has different brakes which is why I didn’t know if there’s anyone who’s found a kit that’s for my model specifically.

If you compare Suzuki part numbers on the rear brake hoses between the '82 650G and the '82 650E, you'll see that they are different. different angles on the banjos at the caliper end being the most obvious to me, likely because the G is a shaft drive the the E is chain. But I didn't study it vert hard. Hoses are on the Rear Master Cylinder page.

Oddly enough, The Front lines are on the Front Brake Hose Page. At a very brief glances, these lines appear to be the same on both the '82 650E and '82 650G. But do your own research to verify.
