450 L or T Seat Pan Length
Just wondering if someone could measure an early 80's (80 - 82 would be my guess) 450 L or T seat pan or frame from the bar where the front of the seat hooks on to the rear bolt holes where it bolts to the frame with the indicators?

PETE!!! I can measure my seat for you!Just wondering if someone could measure an early 80's (80 - 82 would be my guess) 450 L or T seat pan or frame from the bar where the front of the seat hooks on to the rear bolt holes where it bolts to the frame with the indicators?
I'd like to see if they're a bolt on replacement for my E seat pan.
But just to make sure, like this? I'll measure later tonight.

I don't think it's a bolt on though. -

I don't know what the measurement is but I've swapped from T to L seat and it fit. The T seat (left in pic) has a narrower plastic tab on the front and I had to trim the sides slightly on the metal tab of the L seat you see in the picture to fit my T frame but otherwise it fit.

Cheers FC, that's the measurement I'm looking for. No rush, take your time, and thanks!
Hornswaggle... thanks for that, I saw you swapped your seats over a little while ago. That comparison's really helpful too.
All three have different part numbers for the frames, but all the pic's I've looked at show them being pretty much identical, and I haven't seen what the difference is.Comment

That'd be right
Although going by Hornswaggle's post it looks like there's at least a minor difference between the L and T where the seat slides on...
Just reread and realised that Hornswaggle has a name in his sig... thanks Kevin...Comment

I just measered the T seat and it is 21" from one of the rear bolt holes to the closest point inside the front tab. Hope that helps!Comment

Thanks Kevin, will get the measuring tape on the frame tonight.
Also, looking at your comparison, it appears the rear of the T is much flatter than the L. Is that right?Comment

Thanks for the effort guys, but those measurements on my frame say 25"... so no straight swap for me... bugger.
Back to the drawing board I'm afraid...Comment
