82' GS550L parts Interchangeability

I am in need of some help from the experts! I need a new shifter lever, brake pedal (drum brake), rear taillight lens, and right (rider) foot peg bracket and chain gaurd.

I have been searching for used parts and would like to know what other model year parts will work.

You can get the OEM parts # from some place that uses REAL suzuki part #'s (like alphasports.com - a good choice because they list all parts even if discontinued, not Bike Bandit - they use their own #s) and search for applicable models for that part # at babbittsonline.com. Keep in mind that the model must be in Babbitt's database - oddly enough, the 82 GS550LZ (and the 81 550LX) is not. But it may still show OTHER models that part is applicable to. The 650LZ shares a lot of chassis parts in common with the 550LZ. I'd think the tail light assembly is pretty common between the different years of 8V 550L's. Probably the shift pedal/linkage also. Suzuki went back to drum brake in 82 LZ from rear disc in 80/81.
