    Welded on wire harness retainers.

To those of you that have stripped a motorcycle frame, refinished it either with powder coat or paint and had to deal with the issue of the welded on wire harness retainers; what did you do with the retainers? did you remove them and use tie wraps to hold the harness in place? replace them with the bolted on style by pop riveting, mig or spot welding them in place, or did you straighten them as best you could and re-coated them with some sort of rubberized dip used as a coating on tool handles?

    TIA... Dale

Yea I have wondered about that; I assume they were just cut off. No way to reweld to a PCed frame.

Dale, I cut mine off and used cable ties, works better anyway and easy to replace.
