Loose centerstand: smart way to hold up when riding ?

    Hi,

even though I installed a new centerstand spring last year, the centerstand is heavily going up and down when driving, hitting the street every few minutes...

Does anyone know a smart trick that holds up the centerstand while riding the bike ? I tried it with an additional spring attached to the right exhaust, one spring end goes to a little hole I made in the centerstand (when centerstand is horizontal position the spring end holds it up like a hook).

This last thing doesn't work well as the centerstand jumps out of the spring 'hook' when jumping up...

    any suggestions ?

Maybe a few really strong magnets epoxied to the frame and stand?

Do yourself a favor and remove the center stand. You don't want to chance it getting hung up while riding.

Yes remove it or fix whats wrong with it.
Are you sure you got the correct spring?

I ordered the spring while mentioning the correct model specs, so yes, I would assume I ordered the correct spring...the delivery was, in fact, containing 2 springs, but I don't think I should have installed two of these, right ?

Fix it correctly or take it off, that sounds dangerous. They are not supposed to bounce up and down at all.

Should only be one spring fitted.
