Can someone tell me if the original exhaust on a 1980 GS1000S was used on any other models.

The ST exhaust was unique. It was similar to the 1979 GS1000L (chain drive) exhaust, only with a different indent for the brake pedal. Finding one of those would be your second best choice I think. Third best is a regular GS1000 chain drive exhaust (with the long mufflers). It will bolt right up to your bike. The brake pedal indent is wrong but that doesn't matter anyway.Ed
