Dwell meter/Tach recomendations?

I'd like to verify the electronic tach on my 1100ES is accurate. It's been floating pretty badly past 8k rpm and want to see how bad its off even in the low ranges.

Any recommendations for budget minded digital automotive multimeter or other tool?

When I fire my 450 up again in a couple of weeks I need the dwell angle function to see if my home made ignition module is working right or not.

My only concern is if the wasted spark confuses the meter, so I'm half expecting to have to divide by two if it's not set to compensate for the wasted spark...

If you have a GPS you can calculate RPM at some given speed and then go take a ride to verify. Mention GPS because you can't trust your factory speedo either. I can help you with the calculation if necessary. Key thing is to measure the wheel radius accurately with the riders weight on the bike. You can also measure circumference which may be easier.
