Gs750 l & e
So I have a 1979 GS750L model. I can tell by the stepped seat, fuel gauge and so on. I noticed today that my VIN says GS750E XXXXXXX. Did Suzuki just take a "E" frame and add a bunch of different parts? If thats the case,I might try to find a "E" style seat and rear fender.Tags: None -

I have a 1980 E, which also has a a fuel guage and the seat is slightly stepped (probably 1.5 " step in pass. Portion.
The L models had a more exaggeatedly stepped seat, looks to be about 6" or so from pics I have seen on here. Is it possible that when you tried to figure out which model you have, the "stepped seat" threw you off?

Hi,
In general, the "E" designation means "chain drive". But it can mean other things. Yes, how about a picture?

So here's the bike... It has different handlebars and pods. Also missing the side covers.
What do you think? L or E?

L seats seem to have different mounting points for most models from what I gather. The L seats in '79 come right off of the bike when you unlock them, true for yours? Non L seats have a long hinge pin holding them on and unlock from the opposite side with a different kind of mechanism. It would probably take some work to change types."Men will never be free until Mark learns to do The Twist."

Hi,
Allie is right. Any other seat would require some modification.
