    Front axle holder clamp nuts ....

    Hi,
    Is it best to replace the original spring/plain/nut with a nylock type ? and can i get away with replacing these one at a time,with the bike still on the stand ?

    Yes and yes.
    I replace them with stover or lock-nuts instead.
    Much safer than plastic inserts.

        Having trouble finding Stover nuts,i assume these types are just as good ?
        (Don't know if correct pitch)

              you get good service from mark at stigs fasteners. all the bolts on my gs1000 are from him, my bike is the one on his site. he will also make specials if you ask.
              My bikes 79 GS1000 1085 checked and approved by stator the GSR mascot :eagerness: and 77 GS750 with 850 top end, GS850g, and my eldest sons 78 GS550, youngest sons GS125. Project bike 79 GS1000N
