Compatible throttle?

I'm looking for a nice simple/clean looking throttle to replace the stock unit on my GS550. I've relocated my kill switch to the side panel already.

Will this throttle work? It's a '79 GS550 with the VM carbs. Also, does anyone know if the stock cables will work?

You can make it work if it's not a bolt on and you may have to play about with your throttle cables, which is pretty easy (may involve soldering on new nipples etc)

I wouldn't shift the kill switch from the handlebars - it's a safety feature and you never know when you might need that switch really close to your right thumb.

They don't say what type of cable anchor it uses, but for $15, it's worth a try. Stock GS throttle cables use 5mm barrel ends .
