    Redneck Tank Derusting

So I bought a gallon of Evaporust and poured it into my tank and kept turning it over every several hours. No matter which way I turned it there was never enough fluid to cover the hump right under the cap. Everything was all nice and de-rusted except the frame hump under the filler spout ..... what to do ..... what to do ????

All ready to be wrapped up:

    Now for mixing:

    FYI --- It worked great!

Beautiful. You a NASA engineer?... Looks suspiciously like a prototype for the Project Mercury capsule.

For those of us without a mixer, I am sure that another three gallons of Evapo-Rust would be much cheaper.

Most all of us have mixers. The wife calls it a clothes dryer.

I originally used vinegar this past summer and more rust developed in the following week than what developed when it sat for 10 years!

I plan on coating it with por 15 too

Tons of BBs to displace the evapo-rust and raise it up to the level of the hump? Let's just assume 50% void space, you could get the evapo-rust up to the 2-gallon level of the tank with 2 gallons worth of BBs
