    What is this??? (gs750, 78')

Found it stuck to the grease below my front sprocket. I think it popped out when I pulled the cover off... not sure if it goes between the push-rod and the clutch or if it was something else. I just can't find a spot where there's a dowel to receive it, or a con-cave point for the other end!

    Help!

That is the piece that goes in the end of the shift drum to ground the gear position indicator.

Yes, a spring goes under it and then the gear indicator piece caps it off.

Sure enough... popped the indicator sensor off and there was already one in there... PO must've taken it off and lost it 'in the gunk' and had to get another... either that or it was their fancy way of carrying a spare . Thanks guys!
