That oil would be fine. Diesel oil is good stuff for GS's.

Use The Search feature Bud.
Oodles of information on what type of oil to use, everyone has their own personal opinions on what oil is best and why. As long as the oil doesn't say energy conserving on the bottle you'll be good to go!
Personally Run High Mileage Mobil 1 Full synthetic 5W-30 in my B-12 and Shell Rotella Full Synthetic 5W-40 Diesel Motor oil in my GS750.Comment

Rotella works fine! And it's dirt cheap. Haven't had a single issue... no clutch slip... no leaking... and all's well.Comment
