    finding a master link...

I recently bought a chain off someone parting out the same bike I have. The bike had a new D.I.D chain on it. how do i figure out which chain it is to buy the master link for?

if it had a new chain on it, what happened to the master link that was on it? or was it a rivet link and you had to grind it off?

dunno, bought it from across the country. dude told me in advance that I would need to replace it, but didn't say what typen it was. he may not have known himself, i think he was parting out for a friend
