    1100 clutch cable

Hi guys, anyone happen to know if a clutch cable from an 82 750e would work on my 83 1100e? I ordered one for it already but it won't be here until next week. I have a swap meet I was planning on riding to on Sunday. My cable is starting to "fray" and I am looking for a temp. fix.
    Thanks guys,
    Trevor

      Trevor,
That's an awful lot of work to break the 750 to fix the 1100 to take it to a swap meet.
Perhaps I can save you some grief, they have different part numbers if that's any indication. Don't know what's different, but different they are, could be the length I'm thinking.

Alpha sports doesn't list it in their cross reference guide. Totally different number than the 750. I could see if Murray has one but that's kind of an expensive way to do it if you have one ordered ?

It may work, I do believe your bars are shorter on your 1100 than my stock bars are on my 1100.
I broke a clutch cable on my 1100, the cable was kinked (even though I straightened it out) where it goes through that clip on the carbs, it broke internally, usually they break on either one of the terminal ends. But it began stretching before it broke, I couldn't figure it out, so I kept adjusting the cable, and when I went to ride it one day, it broke just as I was getting ready to pull out of my driveway. Lucky me.
