Pesty oil leak
I have been working on getting all the bugs out of my GS850 (which sat for who knows how many years prior) for that past couple months, and now just have one pesty little oil leak that won't go away. The leak appears to be coming from the tach gear housing, where the tach cable mounts to the engine. The PO said I need to replace the seal- which I did- to fix it, but it still appears to be leaking. Do I just need to by a new tach gear housing (found one on ebay for $25) or could this be some other easy, or not so easy, fix?

That's actually very helpful, as my "%$#@! tach cable" likes to unscrew itself as well! I'll have to try his fix!Hi,
