Front fender bolt size?

Stupid question maybe someone can help me out. I had my fender off for a while and lost the bolts. Some sort of mud wasp larva made a home where the bolts go into the forks. I've tried m8 1.25 pitch, m8 1.0 pitch, and a 3/8 bolt but none of them go. Cant tell if its just gunked up threads or the wrong size. Its an 81 550. Anyone know what size/pitch the bolts are supposed to be? Th e number of trips ive made to the,hardware store is getting embarassing.

I used this to get a list myself for new screws.

Edit: Looks like 8mm/1.25 x 16mm long. Double check my work though as I've got too many things going at once!
