Over here we don't have Shell oils, can i use Valvoline All-Fleet Plus 15W40 Oil instead?

That oil is fine. A goodly amount of zinc for high pressure protection, such as for the cams and transmission gears.Ed

I've run all kinds of cheap diesel oil in my 650, never a problem. If you're worried about Low zinc count, why not use a zinc additive.Comment

Yeah I just put a jug in my bike today- The Valvoline got it on sale at Auto Zone for 13 bucks.
Runs and shifts smooth- I always use Rotella but they were out, this will do for a few months until the weather gets too bad.Comment
