cam chain tensioner oil leak?

my '77 gs 750 has developed an oil leak from the cam chain tensioner,no not where meets the engine block ,it seems to be dripping from the spring.played with these motors for years, never had this kind of an oil leak before,anyone else.

Yeah, mines seeps a bit on my 1100, but it's not from the seal, the sleeve the Oil seal fits around is pitted, cheap aluminum, not even smooth if you look at it with a magnifying glass.
