    Rear caliper stay arm GS1000G

I need to replace the bolt and castle nut that holds the stay arm to the rear calliper. ( don't ask) the holes aren't lining up, so I took out one of the two caliper bolts. Now I can't get the calliper bolt to line up.

Could one of the brake pads have come loose?

Any thoughts before I pull it all apart?

      Spot on Salty.

Fixed in a flash. now all good with castle nut in place and new split pin to keep it that way.

Thanks for your speedy reply and great advice.

As a kid I had a part time job at Canadian Tire in the summer time, assembling bicycles and lawnmowers, etc. The machining on these was always out a bit, and I learned quickly that you don't tighten everything up til you have all the nuts and bolts installed.
