Engine guard on 1982 GS650g

I posted this is parts WTB also. Here I am looking for suggested vendors or interchange advice.

I am looking for a set of engine guards for an '82 gs650g.

Are there any manufacturers still out there or will it pretty much be ebay?
Does anyone know if a gs650L guard will fit a gs650g?
Are 1981 and 1983's the same?

yes and yes. you might get lucky on ebay with NOS set- used ones tend to be beat. It took me two years to find a set but I'm cheap.
You have to careful though- the left guard rear mounting bracket must be made correctly or shifting will be impaired. Look at attached pic (not my set, off ebay), the left side rear anchor bolt is at end of guard- this keeps bar away from foot.
