What wheels do I have? What brake shoes do I need?
I just ordered new brake shoes for my 1980 GS450L that I had bought used with a lot of cosmetic modifications. I assumed the spoked wheels on there were stock but after trying to install the brake pads that were supposed to fit (Volar part vbs606) I realized they weren't even close to the right size. Now I don't know if the person I ordered from sent the wrong shoes or what shoes I actually need to order. Here's what I do know...
-Spoked wheels did't seem to come on 1980 GS450L's
-Bearing kit for a gs450 from All Balls fits fine and other hub internals match the diagram for the mag wheels
-Old shoes were marked ASK A17 FF, Suzuki
-Max diameter for the braking surface is printed as 1807mm inside the hub.
Any ideas what this wheel is from? What brake shoes do I need?
