    GS1100 Secondary Drive rebuild

According to the "exploded view" of the secondary drive, it appears that it has bearings and can be rebuilt. Has anyone ever attempted this before?

Here's a thread that someone recently started on the topic. I to may have the need to take this task on. Have you tried the search function? Good luck! ( Yahoo! post 4000k)

Find another good used unit. They can often be found for about the price of just ONE of those bearings. And a whole lot easier to install.

Thats just it. I cannot even find a used one. To rebuild would cost me $300 from parts bandit

About $150.00 to your door for the necessary parts from Deland Suzuki. You need 2 of #3 and one each of #18 & 22.

Heat the bearings in an oven @ 350 degrees for about one hour while placing the gear shaft in the freezer for the same hour and the bearings should slide right on with a little oil on the shaft.
