    GS 1000 Parts Search

When I am looking to buy parts for my 78 GS 1000 there is often no option for just a plain GS 1000. Usually there is more than 1 option, 1000C or 1000N or 1000E... What diagram do I click on?

And, is the VIN a factor???
    Thanks

Depends on which model you have. There are some subtle differences between the models. Post a pic and your VIN and I'm sure it will be identified.

    1980 GS1000GT (Daily rider with a 1983 1100G engine)
1998 Honda ST1100 (Daily long distance rider)
1982 GS850GLZ (Daily rider when the weather is crap)

Darn, with so many daily riders it's hard to decide which one to jump on next.

The wire wheel, single disc brake front wheel 1978 GS1000 is a 1000C. C = 1978. The 1978 mag wheel, two disc brake in front bike is a GS1000EC, although the C is typically dropped in this instance.

Here she is boys. That is not the original tank, but I am hoping to salvage it.

I'm going to try to attach another pic here, but I'm not sure the forum will let me...

Notice in the 2 fuel tank diagrams, there is the 1000C & the 1000N

Now Nessim tells me that typically, the C is dropped.
I'm not catching on to the Suzuki way of thinking here...

            Thanks

The 1000N/EN tank doesn't have the indent through the emblem like the 1000C/EC tanks did.
