    Case Bars: Interchangeabilty

    Can anyone tell me if the engine case protection bars from a 750GS will fit an 850GS.
    I am in Australia and have been offered a set in Canada that were previously fitted to a 750GS.
    The deal is OK but no point if they do not fit. The seller (Nice guy) believes they will fit.
    Can anyone confirm?

    I would suspect you'd be hard pressed to find an informed answer.

      I have both an 1100E and 1100G. I can tell you this much with certainty: The case guards for the GS1100E do not interchange with the guards for the 1100G.



      Now then.

      Since the 1100E and 750E guards interchange, and the 1100G guards fit the 850G, then the logical conclusion is that guards for the 750E will not interchange with the 850G.

        With that logic, then the 750G guards should fit the 850G. However, that would be an expensive mistake if they don't.

          There was no 750G, other than the destroked 850G version sold in Japan before Japan allowed bikes greater than 750cc on the road.

          The poster is just putting the "GS" behind the displacement, not in front of it as is normal.

              Oops. I'm not that familiar with these bikes. I was assuming he meant a 750G and an 850G.
