    Brake pads

Anyone with more knowledge on the subject know if I'd benefit from replacing what look like stock front brake pads, Aisin brand, with EBC semi sintered V-Pads? I've had them sitting in a box for the last couple of years - plenty of life left in the stock pads.
The front wheel and calipers are off the bike... is it a while your at it kind of job?

Sintered pads will tear up the rotors. Some people like the braking abilities but the rotors will suffer.

These are semi-sintered, supposedly easier in rotors. Semi-sintered and semi-what? Organic? I don't know. Just wonder if they offer the best of both worlds or worst of both worlds.

Ask the company that made the pads?

I use the organic pads from EBC, seem to wear just fine and good stopping power.
