The intake boots look good and the rubber isnt damaged or cracked. Do you guys usually reuse them or should they be replaced. They are pretty pricy. 20170730_151428.jpg

Another f@#&ing broken bolt.
Ordered some new orings for my intake boots and Im pretty sure they have never been replaced because I had a heck of a time removing them and one of them just snapped. Had to file it down, remove the intake boot then drill and retap. ARGGG.

The after pic is a mess. Almost wasnt able to drill a new hole. I set my drill too high and my hole started going left. Had to put the boot back on and slowly guide it thru. Its not pretty once the boot is off but i was able to tap an new hole. Im gonna use some sort of sealant around that boot just to make sure shes air tight when re installing. Any suggestions? Not sure silicone is a good idea.Originally posted by Cipher View Postid have left the boot in place and used a suitable pipe as a sheath over my bit inserting it into the boots hole
got an after pic? any damage?

No. All you need for sealing are new o-rings.Originally posted by Dre View PostShould I put some kind of metal to metal high temp sealant when reinstalling the intake boots?https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9zH8w8Civs8ejBJWjdvYi1LNTg&resourcekey=0-hlJp0Yc4K_VN9g7Jyy4KQg&authuser=fussbucket_1%40msn.com&usp=drive_fs
