82 Katana 1000 motor disassembly complications?

I'm considering a gentle refresh of my Katana 1000 motor (if all looks good when apart then cleanup of the head, honing and new rings - if worse then rebore, new pistons, valve guides, etc).

I'm currently rebuilding my 1983 CB1100F motor and it's proving to be a real problem to get apart. Motor is now with an expert 1100F motor builder to try to remove the totally stuck cylinder block.

Is this a common occurrence with the Katana GS1000 motors? Is it often a major problem to get the cylinder head and block off? Just wanting to evaluate the complexities and potential hassles before starting the project.

    Thanks in advance.
