Need a new one cause mine frayed toward the handlebar end. I see them for earlier than 83 but not mine. Anyone know where to get one?

Try Z1 Enterprises. Got one from them a few years ago. Try and get OEM if you can but I think they sell Motion Pro as well. Pick up a lubricator tool and some lube at your local bike shop - about $10 for each and lubricate before installing. -
These guys are great and are in Everett and they're VERY fast shippers. I use them as much as I can. The carry a ton of vintage replacement parts like cables etc. If they don't have it I am sure they can get it.
