    1100 ex dosen't rev above 6000 rpm

Hi peeps, the bike dosen't rev fully riding along the road, but revs normally to the red line on the stand. Any ideas anyone ????? haven't come across this before. Many thanks.

Either ignition or carburation. If it was running or the carbs have not been changed, then I would clean the electrical connections to the coils. I have seen similar be fixed with a coil relay mod.
An easy test is to hard wire the positive side of the coils direct from the battery.

Please check the newbie mistakes thread linked in my signature to see if anything applies. In particular as related to intake system changes such as pod filters or a modified airbox while running stock jetting.

Does it make any popping sounds, or blow black smoke when you're trying to get it to rev?
