    1977 GS750 VIN identification

Hey guys, I found another GS750 near me in a sad state and decided to buy it for my future cafe racer project. It didn't have a title so I plan on applying for one but I need the VIN for the title paperwork. However, it doesn't have a regular 17 digit VIN. On the frame by the fork where the VIN normally is, it says GS750-32264. I guess I need to know if that's what I can use, or if I'll have to have a VIN plate made for the frame? I don't know how this works. Has anyone here had to deal with something like this? Thanks guys!

GS750-32264 is the bike's VIN. The 17 digit VINs didn't start til 1981.

The title for my 77 has a similar GS750-xxxxx VIN listed. I don't think it will be a problem.
