I was just thinking about my old GS wasting away in the garage. I last had it running poorly about 10 years ago. One of the middle cylinders wasn't firing until it was warmed up. I basically lost interest due to the fact that have other bikes to ride. Should I sell on as it is?Are they selling for good money? I do know that this model was well regarded in its day. Or should I

let someone enjoy it. I changed the bike to"historic" vehicle on the log book,I believe this qualifies it to road tax exempt as it is 40 years old. I would be grateful for your thoughts.

Depending on the condition of the rest of the bike, if it was running properly, paint is in reasonably good condition, tires are of recent vintage and have decent tread, that bike might be worth up to about $1500 to the right person. As a non-runner, it's pretty much a parts bike. With a clear title, you <might> get $4-500 for it.

Faversham is in the UK is it not? Assuming yes I suspect your bike would be worth a lot more than bikes are in the USA. And speaking of that, bikes in the urban areas (of the US) are worth a lot more than they are in less populated areas. For example, in my areas a 750E with a title will be worth at least double what Steve mentions (assuming it's in decent cosmetic shape.) Regarding your question, you should be able to get more money for it in a running condition. Personally, I'd at least try and then go from there.

After 10 years, you're going to have to put significant money into it to have it pass MO T
