GS1000E Cam cover removal
Just checking guys, I have removed the 16 bolts holding down the cam cover, do I need to remove the tacho fixing to remove the cover please, as it seems fairly tightTags: None -
No you do not need to remove the tachometer fixing, looking at the microfiche there are 16 bolts so it looks like it's just stuck a few taps with a hide/plastic mallet should break the seal. The big guy up there rides a Suzuki (this I know)

Not on this model...cover gasket is stuck..get a rubber mallet and tap lightly. There are probably dowel pins at corners to locate cover to head.1981 gs650L

If you need to create more space remove the breather cover off the top. Makes it easier to pull the cover through.
