Valve spring removal tool, 1982 GS1100E?

What are you guys using to remove the valve springs on the 4valve 1100?
My auto tool is too awkward, I wasn't sure if anyone found a smaller one that works easier.
    TIA

I find working on my motorcycle mildly therapeutic when I'm not cursing.

I have a two valve per cylinder head so I'm not sure this is worth your time, but I use a giant C clamp, PVC pipe, and a magnetic wand. Maybe this sort of set up wouldn't work on the four valve bikes, I don't know. And, this set up is also a little awkward.

^^yes, I made very very similar for my 4 valve gsx400( that has screw-type tappets.).. with aluminum pipe . Looks like yours has a pad between clamp and pipe piece which I should do too, as it can be a bit slippery lining up the bits.

I ended up getting the small engine one off of Amazon. Worked well.
Got the head at the machine shop for a cleaning then I'll reassemble it.
Going to reseal the whole motor before I reinstall it. Upgrading the ignition and electrical on the bike.

Would be nice of you to drop a link to the one you bought on Amazon for all of us. Thanks.

I did exactly like this, with a Harbor Freight big C-Clamp and PVC pipe. All my engines. My 24-Valve CBX head, my two
                    16-valve CB-F, 8-valve GS1000, my step-kids Nissan 240-SX and numerous other motorcycle heads..
