just to reiterate, I have a lean condition when my engine gets good and warmed up, after highway speeds, that causes 3000 rpm idle and it revves upon pulling the choke to 5000 rpm, then chokes out and dies if I hold it... it pulls well with throttle, and the 3000 rpm doesn't seem to be for real, as it dies down when I let out on the clutch as if it was idling normally, not taking off as if I throttled to 3000. so I wonder if there's not just one cylinder getting over lean and dragging the rest up with it?
the carbs have not been fully disassembled, but were cleaned enough to get it running again... could be some fault, maybe idle circuit or choke?
thanks a ton, I may have to buy new boots, but I want to check any other possibilities first!!
