82 gs650 problems after bad storage

I bought the bike last year,have only rode it twice. The problem is after cleaning and rebuilding the carbs, the bike will not idle, and willnot rev over 7000rpm.haven't tried to sync yet cause it won't idle.

need some more detailed info. how well did you clean the carbs, how was it stored badly, etc?

right before I bought the bike it sat outside on its side. The carbs were thuoghly soak and blown out

did you replace the o-rings between the head and the intake manifolds? Is the air box on and what shape is the air filter in. These bikes are very pickey about the amount of air getting to the carbs.
